Samantha Baaba Minta, 51, passed away on January 2, 2026 after a brief illness. She was born on January 10, 1974,a daughter of Victor Minta and Lily Amonoo and had lived in East Hartford for several years. Samantha had a caring heart and enjoyed being a CNA for local medical groups.
She is survived by her daughter, Reenie Minta and two sons; Rodney Count and Caleb Cofie as well as numerous family and friends across the United States and in Ghana.
Samantha's funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 9-11am at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, East Hartford, CT.
