Sharon M Melendez

A lifelong resident of Connecticut, Sharon was born on December 22, 1943, to

Deming and Elizabeth McGilton with her three siblings, Patricia Kennedy, Clinton McGilton, and Deming McGilton. She worked at Advo in Hartford until her retirement. She was a cherished mother & wife and always ready to answer the call for anyone needing help.

Known for the love of her family and friends, she kept everyone in her life smiling… especially her son & daughter, Joe & Media.

In retirement, Sharon enjoyed the time with her children, grandchildren, going to the beach, raising a glass for a toast, traveling, and taking long rides around New England. She was also a well-loved member of the community in Rivermead Pointe South.

Sharon is survived by her husband Samuel, her children Media Landry & Mike Zahar, Joseph & Rhonda Landry Jr and beloved grandchildren Joseph III, Myah, and Malorie, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Her contagious smile, good sense of humor and positive energy will be missed by all.
