Shirley M Walker Banville

Shirley (Walker) Banville, 78, of Hartford peacefully passed away on Friday, Nov. 5, 2010. She was the widow of Gerard Banville. Shirley was born in Biddeford, Maine to the late Elton and Leona (Bertrand) Walker Sr and had also resided in Old Orchard Beach, Maine prior to moving to CT. Shirley had been a parishioner of St. Ann Church and enjoyed spending time socializing with her friends. Past-time hobbies included watching TV and playing games. She also enjoyed assisting on the help desk at Capitol Towers, attending the senior complex on weekends, and visiting friends and family . She is survived and will be dearly missed by her sister Priscilla Peters and her husband Ralph Peters Sr. of East Hartford and brother Elton Walker Jr. and his wife Maureen of New Britain, nieces Jean Grant (godchild) and husband James, Nancy Grisevich and husband Robert, and nephews Ralph Peters Jr and wife Fernanda, Jeffrey Peters and wife Nicole, Michael Peters and fiance Colleen, Elton Walker III, and Michael Walker, 8 great nieces and nephews and 1 great great nephew.

Memorial services will begin Monday, November 15, 2010 at 10:00am, followed by a Prayer Service at 11:00 am at the Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Please see attached links for extending a message of condolence or directions.
