Stanley Frank Jarrow, 92, the beloved husband of Olga (Kamel), passed away at his home in East Hartford on January 7, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Stanley was born in Hartford, on March 8, 1921, a son of the late Karol and Maria Jarrow.
He graduated from Hartford High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force, honorably serving during World War II. Upon completion of his military service, Stanley relocated to Connecticut where he worked for Pratt & Whitney in Southington for over 40 years.
In addition to his loving wife Olga, Stanley is survived by his son Stanley G. Jarrow of Bloomfield, daughter Jane Jarrow of Bloomfield, 2 granddaughters; Jennifer Ann Ragaini and her husband Matthew, Cheryl Lynn Frenette and her husband Timothy, 3 great grandchildren; Johnathan Ragaini, Angela Ragaini and Paige Frenette, brother Edward Jarrow of East Hartford and nephew Bobby Jarrow and his wife Beth.
Stanley and Olga celebrated over 70 years of marriage, and they were avid dancers. Stanley’s passion was gardening.
Funeral services will begin Monday, January 13, 2014 at 10:30am at Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT 06108, followed by the funeral liturgy at 11am at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will follow in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Calling hours will be Sunday, January 12, 2014 from 4:30pm-7:30pm at the funeral home.
