Theresa M Manning Browne

Theresa Manning Browne (Terry), beloved wife of the late James Browne, daughter of the late Festus and Mary (Foster) Manning born June 26 1928 in New Haven CT passed away peacefully September 5, 2016 at John Dempsey Hospital surrounded by family.

Theresa was raised in the very loving family of her aunt and uncle, Margaret (Foster) and Eugene McCarthy. She loved and adored "Mother" and "Daddy'' who raised her and her brother along with four of their own children. Theresa was the ultimate “pay it forward” person, always so appreciative of the gift they gave her, passing the generosity she received from them onto others in her life.

Theresa graduated from the Gilbert school in Winsted in 1947. She retired from Aetna after working at General Electric in Norfolk and The Boston Store in Winsted.

In addition to her husband who predeceased her, her sisters Marguerite (McCarthy) King and Mary (McCarthy) Mitchell and her brothers Eugene McCarthy Jr and John F. McCarthy predeceased her along with her nephew Stephan Manning and cousin Margaret Mitchell.

Left to mourn her passing is her brother John Manning along with her nephew Michael Manning and his wife Donna and their children Kelley and Mathew. Also left to mourn her passing are numerous loving cousins to whom she was a special aunt.

The family is very grateful to the entire staff at Arden Courts of Farmington, CT who were each extremely kind and compassionate to Terry. She loved them as they loved her. A very special thank you also to the staff at John Dempsey Hospital 2nd floor that assisted her most recently.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter, 200 Executive Boulevard, Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489
