Thomas S. Cowperthwaite, 83, beloved husband of the late Mary G. Cowperthwaite of Oakdale passed away peacefully on January 7, 2013 after a brief illness. Tom was born on January 25, 1929 in East Hartford to Sidney and Marie Cowperthwaite. He was employed by Noble & Westbrook retiring in 1986. He served in the U.S. Navy.
Tom will be dearly missed by his children, Michael Cowperthwaite of Cupertino, CA, Steven Cowperthwaite of Daytona Beach, FL, Susan Pollard and her husband Patrick of Oakdale, CT and Laura Cowperthwaite of Coventry, CT; his sister Eileen Marsh of Rutland, MA; his step-granddaughter Lydia Pollard and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at 4:00PM, at Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Tpk., Glastonbury CT 06033. Friends and family are welcome to gather at 3:00PM at the funeral home.
