Truman (Ted) A. LePage, 92, husband of the late Florence (Bogli) LePage, passed away unexpectedly, on Saturday, July 26, 2025. Born in Hartford on April 17, 1933, he was the son of the late Arthur and Bertha (Blanchette) LePage. Ted lived in Collinsville and then Hartford, where he met his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Flo. Marrying at the age of 18, they shared sixty-nine years of marriage and companionship, caring for each other throughout their lifetimes. They settled in East Hartford in 1959, where they raised their family and made lifelong friends. Ted was a dedicated husband and father who took great pride in maintaining his home and yard.
He was an avid sports fan, especially for the Red Sox and UConn girls’ basketball. He loved coaching his son in little league baseball. In his younger days, Ted was a scratch golfer and avid fisherman. Ted had a deep love of animals, and along with Flo, looked forward to the annual return of their hummingbirds which brought them great joy. Anyone who knew Ted will remember him for his great sense of humor, a joke always at the ready. Wherever he went he made people laugh, often poking fun at himself. He will also be remembered for his kindness to others, always helping a neighbor or slipping the children in his life a few bucks. Flo and Ted’s greatest joy was helping others and after losing their beloved son David, they volunteered for many years at Compassionate Friends and the local soup kitchen. Ted worked for many years for various employers in transportation, retail and Goodwill Industries.
As a proud Army veteran, he was delighted when his grandson Lincoln enlisted in the Air Force. Ted was especially blessed to have wonderful neighbors and friends who looked out for him in his later years especially Lori Damon, Peter and Susan Brodie, Francis Charest, Joel and Carol Noel, Kevin and Susan Flanigan, Gene and Ramonde Oullette, Venice Bogli and Alex and Mel Silva.
Ted leaves a loving daughter, Kim LePage and her husband Lincoln Riley of Quincy, MA. He also leaves a grandson Staff Sergeant Lincoln O. Riley of South Korea and his fiancé Hyacinth Risha, his beloved feline companions Frankie and Bella, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by a son, David M. LePage, and his brothers Laurel (Pete), Gerald and Clayton (Buddy). He was also predeceased by his sisters Muriel Lascari, Imogene Ursin and Lurley Casey.
