Vincent "Vinny" F. Parys

Vincent "Vinny" F. Parys, age 72, of East Hartford, Connecticut passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, with the love of his family and cherished wife Robin E. (White) Parys by his side. Vinny was born July 27, 1950 in Poland to his late parents; Witold and Cecylia (Pyzna) Parys before moving to the United States in 1962, where he grew up and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Vinny served on active duty during the Vietnam War and after active duty, he transferred to the Army Reserve with a total of 23 years combined serves. After returning home from active duty, Vinny served his community and State, retiring as a Connecticut State Trooper. Furthering his commitment to the community he grew up in, he then worked for the town of East Hartford as a Carpenter, before finally retiring to spend time with Robin and his family. Besides Robin, Vinny leaves behind, 2 daughters; Elyse McKenna and husband Robert Kaba of Aubrey, TX. Marykate McKenna and husband Michael Occhino of Southbury CT. his 4 grandchildren; Ariana, Gianna, Lilliana and Michael J. Occhinno of Southbury CT. his 5 siblings; Mark Parys and wife Jadwiga of So Carolina, Elizabeth Burzawa and husband Eugene of E Hartford, Michael Parys and wife Elizabeth of Holland, MA., Sofie Miller and husband Donald of Bristol and Cecylia Parys of Jupiter, FL. Calling hours for Vinny will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave, East Hartford, Connecticut 06108.
