Wendy Ann Huestis

Wendy A. Huestis, 63, beloved wife of Howard C. Huestis, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Manchester Memorial Hospital after a short battle of cancer. She was born in Scranton, PA on October 8, 1952 to the late Jack and Izola (Pearce) Williams. She graduated from T.C Williams, VA before moving to East Hartford in 1977. Wendy worked at Tyco Engineering for over 25 years. Wendy was a very loving mother and was always devoted to her family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, camping, fishing or whatever her kids and grandkids wanted to do.

In addition to her husband of 44 years, Howard, she is survived by her two sons, Howie and wife Lorna of Coventry, CT, Matthew and wife Tracy of Sioux Falls, SD; her brother, Jack Williams and wife Gail of Manassas, VA; her brother in-law, Tom Huestis and wife Connie; her sister in-law, Linda Tostarelli and husband Michael Jr.; her grandchildren, Lindsay and fiancé Jacob, Brandon and fiancé Abigail, Brooke, Alexandra, Dylan, Haydon; soon to be great grandson, Hunter Howard Huestis; her nieces and nephews, Jason, Christine, Kim, Tommy, Mikey, Karen, Zack, Turner, Elise, Preston, Liam, Hope and Maria.

Calling hours will be on Sunday, November 15, from 2 to 4PM, at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 4PM, at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
