

Alberta Munkvold was born to parents Albert M. Price and Letha Belle (Brown) Price at E.W. Sparrow Hospital and passed away at U of M Sparrow Hospital. She spent her entire life in the Lansing area. She graduated from Eastern High School in 1969.
Alberta served as a candy striper at St. Lawrence Hospital for several years. She went on to get her Licensed Practical Nursing degree (LPN) from Lansing Community College (LCC). She greatly enjoyed working as an LPN at St. Lawence Hospital. She went on to achieve her Registered Nurse (R.N.) degree from LCC.
Shortly after this, Steve and Alberta were married. She continued to work at St. Lawrence Hospital. Several years later they had their son, Shawn, come into their lives. She wanted to and later did become a full-time stay-at-home Mother. She loved being a mom and house wife. She was an avid reader and enjoyed decorating the home. Most vacations were in South Dakota visiting with Steve’s relatives and seeing the sites.
She is survived by husband, Steve and son, Shawn. Her nephews, Donald Clark and Eugene (Susan) Morgan. Also, her Mother-in-law, June Munkvold, and in-laws brother Calvin (Mary) and sister Sandra (Jerry) Erickson, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Albert and Lethe Belle Price, Father-in-Law, Richard Munkvold, her sister, Deanna Morgan, nephew, Douglas Morgan, and 2 younger nephews.
