I was Anita’s neighbor on Ternes Ave., in Dearborn for about 12 years. Also her son Ed was married to my daughter. Who gave us Brianne. We will all miss Anita very much. She was always so full of knowledge and willing to share it. Loved talking about her family and all that was going on. She had such a big heart. Rest In Peace dear friend. In God’s arms and with Vern and Steve.

My mother and Vern's father were cousins so I have known the Krumins family all my life. I met Anita when she and Vern were courting as they visited my parents frequently. It was so exciting for me to witness their love unfolding and the beautiful wedding was the culmination of excitement for me in my early teenage years! Living in Kalamazoo, we also enjoyed their visits home, especially when they brought their beautiful baby boys! After I married and moved away from Kalamazoo, we lost touch but I was at Steve's wedding with my husband and two young children since we were living in Knoxville, Tennessee at the time. Through Facebook, Anita and I reconnected a few years ago and it was the BEST thing to have sweet Anita back in my life. We visited at the cabin and whenever I was in Michigan, we would get together at my sister, Mara's house in Kalamazoo. I will miss Anita's dear friendship, her notes, her phone calls and her hugs. May she rest in God's arms. I have old pictures of the Krumins family, Anita and Vern's wedding and other assorted photos. I am on Facebook (Astrida Balcuns Miller) and if either Mark or Ed want them, message me on FB and send me your address. I would be happy to mail them to you.

Anita has been a friend since we were children in 4-H. We learned to cook, sew, and bake together. We were in jr. high and high school together and after we graduated we rode in a car pool to work in Kalamazoo. We both married and had families and reconnected at a class reunion. We became fast friends again and she became like another sister to me. I will miss her sweet and caring personality. She loved people and had a genuine interest in their lives. She was interested in so many things and was busy every day. She loved her family more than life itself. She will be missed by so many people. She made a difference in all our lives. Rest In Peace my friend.
