Arthur Floyd Vine

Arthur “Art” Vine, 75, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in his Okemos, MI home. He was born on September 28, 1942 in Detroit, MI to the late Floyd and Jane (Melms) Vine. Art was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife (Sandra Vine), and his son (Richard Vine). He is survived by his daughters, Charlotte Vine and Sarah Wilson; grandchildren, Brianna Vine, Christina Vine, Julia Vine, Sasha Dittenber, and Jonathan Pryer; sister, Carol Getts (Mike); brother in-law, Dennis Chie(Judy); his caregivers, Davelle Hawkins, Michelle Rodriguez, Samantha Peabody, and Sharon La Croix.
Art was an active Certified Public Accountant for 50+ years until his death. He worked for MISHA and also participated in real estate. Art graduated from Michigan State University and continued to be a lifelong Spartan. Both he and his wife, Sandra Vine, made many contributions to MSU’s sports teams and Wharton Center events. If Art was not working on taxes, he would be out on the golf course with his fellow colleagues and friends. Art loved to travel throughout the world with his wife and children/ grandchildren, when they wanted to take them.
A service and a luncheon to follow, will be held on Tuesday, June 5th, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Presbyterian Church of Okemos, 2258 Bennett Road, Okemos, MI 48864. In lieu of flowers a contribution may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Okemos or Michigan State University Wharton Center, 750 E. Shaw Lane, East Lansing, MI 48823.

I just now (Sunday night) found out . All I can think about is all Art & Sandy meant to me ! I am broken hearted ! I will always remember them and the whole family ! They did so much for me, both of them! They will always remain in my thoughts and prayers !
