Astrid Marie Hansen, 89, died November 3, 2016 as a result of a fall. She is survived by her son, Knud (Kay) Hansen, and grandchildren Anne (Jim) Curtis, Molly (Scot Deming) Brown, Erin (Alicia Verdier) Hansen, and Lauren Hansen and Igor Houwat. She will be missed by all, but especially by her great grandchildren Jimmy, Nicole, Nolan, Aidan and Meredith, who welcomed her smile, open arms and place they to could call home. Astrid and her husband, Svend Ove, and daughter Jette Brown, lived in the downriver area of Detroit for many years until Astrid and Svend retired to a small farm in Carsonville, Michigan. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
