

Born in Lansing, Michigan to Alene and Earl Gokey. She graduated from Sexton High School (’51) where she met the love of her life, Gary Lou Cutler. They were married for 38 wonderful years.
Barbara was predeceased by her parents, two sisters, and her loving husband, Gary, who died May 5, 1992.
She especially cherished her family time at Higgins Lake. She and Gary also reveled in their time spent sailing their boat “The Adventure” on the Great Lakes. She loved painting and was an avid gardener and bird lover.
Barbara was the president of the Sparrow Auxiliary in her younger years and then enjoyed her time working at the MSU Testing Center.
She was affectionately known as “Beama” to her eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; her family being the greatest gift in her life.
She will be remembered for her undying strength, courage, honesty and loyalty. All characteristics she instilled in all who knew her.
She is survived by her four children: Sharon C. Martin (Van), East Lansing; David G. Cutler (Kelly), Carmel, IN; Jeff G. Cutler (Tamara), East Lansing; and Greg G. Cutler, Grand Rapids. Grandchildren: Landon Caroline Brunette (Jason), East Lansing; Troy D. Cutler (late wife Nicole), Tewksbury, MA; Courtney G. Corless (Mark), Troy; VanDervoort Cutler Martin, East Lansing; Felicia A. Misner (Mike), Noblesville, IN; Isabelle T. Cutler, Pittsburg, PA; Alexis B. Cutler, Holland; Gary G. Cutler, Auburn Hills; Lauren Adair Cutler, Madison, WI; Gage K. Cutler, Bozeman, MT; George G. Cutler, Sarasota, FL. Great grandchildren: Wyatt M. Brunette, Beckett W. Brunette, Oliver E. Corless, Caroline Grace Brunette and Sophia G. Corless.
Arrangements will be handled by Gorsline Runciman. There will be a private family funeral.
