Barbara Ann Schaefer of Lansing , age 73, passed away at home surrounded by her family on May 29, 2015. Barbara was born May 10, 1942 in Lawton, OK to Harry W. and Etta (Flanigan) Schaefer. She was a commercial artist for J. W. Knapp’s for ten years, and then worked for Michigan State University for eighteen years in building services. Barbara loved geneology and watching tennis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Shirley Schaefer. Surviving is one brother, William Schaefer; sister Susan Schaefer, nephew Michael (Mary Beth) Schaefer and grand-niece, Ashlin Schaefer.
A funeral service will be held Friday, June 5, 2015, 10:30 a.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 East Grand River Avenue, East Lansing. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 4, 2015, 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service.
