Our Tribute:
Bens Jr., you are gone way too soon!
They tell me that only the Great die young!
Now, that, I truly believe.
You have left this world with a void to fill, but you also left Memories etched in our minds, of that Infectious smile and inviting personality!
You had a Big Heart that loved unconditionally, we see it in your friends tributes.
You will be Missed and Remembered all at the same time! You are among the Bravest and Strongest I know. No matter the medical curveballs you were thrown, you always bounced back and optimistically faced every new challenge.
You have taught us to be strong, resilient, and to embrace life for everything it offers.
You were an incredible father and Blake has a true hero to remind him that the sky is the limit and that dedication, a smile, and an optimistic heart makes anything possible.
You made your transition from this earthly home to be present with your Heavenly Father, where there are no tears, pain, and sadness.
We cry because we miss you, that smile, that strength, that inviting personality!
If we can only walk a mile in your shoes, it would be an accomplishment!
We will see you again one day, but until then, we will see you in our memories, and hear you in the beats of our hearts!
Until then, we have gained a new guardian angel!
Thank you for leaving the world a Better Place and a footprint in the sand-
Sandaire.
With Love from your Bahamian Family: La’Shon, Tyler, Darren, Grandmom Patricia Major, Charlene, Sherry, Malik, Terrico, Gloria, Michael, and Devar from Vivid photography.

I will always remember Bens for his pleasant attitude and his great smile. He was also a great babysitter although he may not have known it at the time. My wife used to work yard sales with his mom Shirley and Bens would often entertain my sons Marcus and Jeffrey. It’s been a while since I last saw Bens but I will always remember his patience and the way he made time for my sons. May he Rest in Heaven, and condolences to the family from the Cain’s.

I will just say that I came to East Lansing High School from private school and I struggled meeting new people and making friends (still do). Bens was the first person to befriend me, show me kindness and for that I’m forever grateful. I also think it captures the essence of his kind-hearted nature. He was a great man, friend and father. I know his family and top flite are in pain and I’ll pray for them. Please do so as well.

I have so many fond childhood memories with Bens. His sense of humor and his gentle nature were magnetic. He had a way of making things okay. I’ll never forget playing in the woods by the creek, swimming in the pool, hanging out in his basement, and hearing his words of encouragement. Even though it’s been a long time sense we were friends, when I think of him today, my heart feels full of those memories. I’ll never forget his beautiful soul. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
