

Born in Joplin, Missouri, Beverly was the eldest of five children born to Maynard and Opal Croff. Her formative years were spent in a farmhouse in Bliss, Michigan, where she attended a one-room schoolhouse—a beginning that instilled in her a lifelong appreciation for community and hard work. After her family moved to Lansing, Beverly graduated from Sexton High School and continued her studies at the Lansing Business School.
Beverly was a dedicated professional, serving local educational institutions for over 50 years. She began her career as a secretary and, through her hard work and commitment, retired as an Executive Assistant at Lansing Community College.
Following the death David L. Shull, her husband of more than 35 years, she moved to the Great Lakes Christian Home in Holt Michigan. It is here that she met David Stanaback, inseparable from the start, they enjoyed MSU Hockey games and summer trips to Traverse City Michigan.
Beverly is survived by her sons, Ron and Jeff; her daughter-in-law, Beth; and her granddaughter, Anna. She is also survived by her brother, Tom Croff, and his wife, Esther. Additionally, she has nieces and nephews, 5 step-grandchildren and 12 step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her three other brothers, Barry, Richard, and Robert.
Visitors are invited to join the family at 1:00 PM on Sunday, February 1st for a memorial service at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home’s East Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River Ave, East Lansing, Michigan 48823.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation, or the Bliss Township Cemetery, Bliss Township, Bliss Michigan 49228
