Billy Lynn Campbell

Billy Lynn Campbell "Pops", age 80, of Mason, Michigan passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Billy was born in Obion, TN, on March 24, 1945 to James Bill Campbell and Bessie Marie (Atkins). He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Billy married Pat (Fountain) on November 21, 1964 in Lansing, Michigan. They had three children, James Campbell, Steven Campbell and William Campbell. Billy lost his sight in the early 70s yet he worked for Oldsmobile as a lineman. He was an avid MSU sports fan, and despite being blind, he loved to bowl, play Euchre and shooting hoops.

Billy is survived by his sons, James Campbell (partner Tom Keaveney), Steven Campbell (Dana), William Campbell (Amy); grandchildren, Steven Jr., Kaylah Wirtjes (Steven), RaeAnnah Thompson (Ernie), Kirsten, Noah, Jack, Alexis; great grandchildren, Alexander and Stella; brother, Harold Campbell (Cindi); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat; parents, James and Bessie Campbell; sisters, Glenda Walters and Minnie Pifer.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September, 25, 2025 from 10am - 11am at the Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Home, 1730 E. Grand River, East Lansing, MI 48823, with a funeral service at 11am. Burial at East Lawn Memory Gardens.
