Carlisle Carl George Miller

Carl attended Haslett High School. He served his country as an operating engineer in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a heavy equipment operator for 47 years with a local contractor. Carl loved the outdoors that included hunting, fishing and camping.

He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Carrie (Wilton) Miller as well as 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann (Kelley) Miller; 3 daughters, Deborah (Ronald) Ward, Lori (Thomas) Gordon, Angela (Jon) Rectenwaldt; 2 sons, David (Susan) Miller, Randy (Michelle) Miller; 3 step-daughters, Jo Von (Dale) Pierce, Sheri (Joe) Mills, Tifany (Greg) Miller; brother Richard Miller; sister, Marilyn Myers; 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011, 2:30 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Carl’s memory.
