Clara Frances Swanson Keyes

East Lansing

Passed away October 4, 2013 at the age of 96. Frances was born August 24, 1917 in Bay City, MI to Gustov and Clara (White) Swanson. Frances was a resident of East Lansing since 1941 and a member and Deaconess of Towar Hart Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by husband, Rex Gifford and three sisters. Surviving are her husband, Clifford Keyes; daughters Sharon (Howard) Huntoon, Darlene (Kenneth) Brownfield; son Robert (Ellen) Hughes; step-daughter Jane (Dal) Harris; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff and caregivers at Gunnisonville Meadows.

Services will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at Towar Hart Baptist Church, 6157 Towar Avenue, East Lansing, MI, 48823, with Rev. Kenneth Ridge officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends at the church 1 hour prior to the service.

Contributions may be made to the church or Hospice House of Mid-Michgan, P. O. Box 30480, Lansing, MI 48909 in memory of Frances.
