

David was a man of many accomplishments and passions. He proudly served his country as a Marine, a fact that remained a source of pride throughout his life. He received his Associates Degree and dedicated years of hard work to General Motors as an electrician. David was not only a dedicated employee but also an entrepreneur, dabbling in photography and dry cleaning ventures.
David had a love for his Cadillacs, which he enjoyed owning and driving. An avid fan of Michigan State University football and basketball, David cheered passionately for his beloved team. In his leisure time, he found joy in shooting pool, mastering the game with skill and precision.
David is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lorna Fountain; children, Amie Heimerdinger (Brian) and Paul Fountain (Tara); his cherished grandchildren, Dustin (Christina), Madison, Noah, Jacob, and Joshua; sister, Marsha Scott; and several nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Fountain and Della Voisenet; his stepfather, Robert Voisenet; and his sister, Martha Shaffer.
David will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His kindness, dedication, and zest for life left an indelible mark on those around him. May he rest in peace, forever in our hearts.
A funeral service for David will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 1:00 PM, with a one-hour prior visitation from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes East Chapel, 1730 E Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI 48823. Following the service, David will be laid to rest in Glendale Cemetery, 2500 Mt Hope Rd., Okemos, MI 48864.
