

Debi, 64 of Okemos passed away early January 26 after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She was nicknamed Rally because of her courage and unending strength. She was born in Lansing, MI on December 19, 1951 to Arthur & Dorothy Karslake. She was a graduate of East Lansing High School. Debi was a terrific Grandma, wonderful friend and loving mother. She was Editor and co-founder of Kids World News. She had a passion for working with children. She loved animals and especially adored her springer spaniel, Coco. She put others first and looked beyond her own needs to care for them. She was and always will be a treasure and God’s gift to those around her.
Debi is survived by her daughters, Rachel Karslake (Brian), Anna Chapman (Nathan) and step-son Kevin Duff (Marchelle) and her 15 grandchildren. Also, by her brother Pat Karslake, sister, Pam Foster and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on January 29th from 10am until 11am at Gorsline and Runciman Funeral Home in East Lansing. The funeral will be held at 11am at Gorsline and Runciman followed by a graveside service and luncheon to celebrate this beautiful life that God gave to us.
