Working with Denice at Laingsburg Elementary for 16 years I learned what it meant to teach students about patriotism and still utilize it every day as a school Principal.  She was an awesome colleague!  Jim Dell

Ms. Ball (whom forever will be lovingly known to me as Mrs. Murray) was indeed a special woman.  I would like to add that along with her amazing gifts of appreciation and selfless listening, she also had the amazing ability to teach.
Along with the challenge of teaching me the branches of government and prime numbers, Mrs. Murray taught me many more lessons that I am eternally grateful for.
Mrs. Murray taught me that every single person has value and is special.  Each time you see someone, make sure to shake his/her hand and introduce yourself.  Before departing, give others a hug to let them know how special they are.  She taught me that one of life's greatest gifts is to listen to others' stories.  She would tell us to make sure you ask others to tell you about their past, because you never know when you may not get the opportunity again.
Another thing Mrs. Murray taught me is that sometimes, it is more important to march around the parking lot than to round robin read a science textbook.  In life it is important to learn the value of teamwork, listening to and following orders, and respect for someone in authority
She taught me that everyone is capable of success.  I learned to work harder than I ever thought I could in my life.  In doing so, I learned that I was capable of greater things than I ever thought possible. 
 If you are a former student of Mrs. Murray's I bet you are always eager to share with someone your 5 and 10 year goals.  You never know when someone may ask, but you know to reflect upon them often because at least one person taught you that you can achieve anything!
I am thankful for the many things Mrs. Murray has taught me while I was blessed to have her in my life.  I will strive to remember them, as I set out with my goals to love and teach my own students at least a fraction of what she has taught me.

My dear sweet friend Denice....you will always be in my heart.  You would be so happy to read these notes from people who love you.  You made a difference for so many.  You and I served together in the US Army and met when we were stationed in Germany - back before the wall came down!  You were proud to serve and proud to be an American.  I am proud to have been your friend and blessed to have known you for so many years and shared so much.  We love you and miss you and will never forget you.

Mrs Ball-Murray  was wonderful in her love of the fourth graders singing patriotic songs. Her classrooms were fun and stimulating. Thankful for her .

Denise was one of the nicest, kindest, considerate, and caring people I have ever met. I had the pleasure of working with her at Laingsburg Elementary School. She was very dedicated to her students and loved anything to do with the military. She was always full of conversation and always wanted to know about how things in your life were going. She never put herself first. She taught me how to be strong and to stand up for what I believed was right. You will be greatly missed. Until we meet again... Go state!!!!!

In 2008 I was a student of Mrs. (Murray) Ball.  As I look back to my fourth grade year I am thankful how Mrs. Ball inspired my love of learning through reading.  That Christmas I was able to "gift" my grandfathers (verterns) will patriotic songs that represented both the Army and Marines.  They both welled with pride at what I had learned!  Thank You Mrs. Ball for always encouraging me, supporting me and helping me to become the person I am today.  Many ((hugs)) have been shared over the years. I am very thankful.

Denice will always be remembered as one of the good people.  Everyone who knew her was blessed by being around a positive, loving, and fun person.  She will be greatly missed. 

Doris Noblin

Denice always had a kind word and smile on her face.  We were so happy to have had her as a teacher for two of our children.  Denice made time for everyone and made sure to find the positives.  We have all lost a very special person.

In 2011 I was in her class in 4th grade that was also my last year at lainsburg elm. I got a lot of gifts I almost got to go to a state game with her and 2 others but I wasn't able to but she bought me and 2 other people cups and she helped me with my math we learned some cool German words I was number 8 now I am in 8 grade I still have a letter that I go also other students got them we learned so much history like ww2 and we son so many military songs she inspiered me to join the military I was one of the luckiest kids of my grade like others I cried when mymom subed at lainsburg I got to gomin the room and I just cried and now I am crying again she was the best teacher anyone could ask for Ms. One of your students Gabriel Hart and RIP

I had the pleasure to work with Denice at Laingsburg Elementary.  She was a passionate teacher and and supportive friend.  Both of my sons had her as a 4th grade teacher and loved her!  My condolences to her family.

What a wonderful women! Denice was a dedicated teacher, my son Caleb  learned much from her. They shared a  love of history and love for our country.  I will miss her smile and our many conversations over the years.  May her shining spirit forever illuminate in all the hearts she touched. I know I feel a great loss.  To the family, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Denice was one of a kind.   Quoting a former colleague-Marisa McGlue-"She was a funny, smart, and thoughtful woman. Her actions demonstrated her great care for the things she loved and the things that mattered to her. I am happy to have known her and sad she is gone."   I could not have said it better.  RIP Denice.  We will see each other again.  Peace to those of you she leaves behind.

I got to know Denice when I became the music teacher at Laingsburg Elementary School. I always enjoyed the stimulating conversations we had on many occasions. I always appreciated her life of service both in the military and to her students. She is greatly missed. My sincere condolences to her family. We are all blessed to have known her.

Our deepest sympathy to the family of Denise.  It was a pleasure to have known her.
