Dennis Cook passed away on December 19, 2021 at the age of 70 with his family by his side. Denny was a caring brother, uncle and friend. He was born November 28, 1951 in Lansing. Michigan. He was preceded in death by his father Donald, mother Marguerite and sister Debbie. Denny was the oldest sibling and is survived by his sister Diane Cook and brother David (Laura) Cook, nieces Erica Cook and Alexa Oifer, nephews Ryan Cook and Harrison Oifer, as well as his great niece and nephew Kylie Cook and Wyatt Cook-Woods, Russ Bitner, uncles, aunts and many cousins. Denny also leaves behind many special friends.
After graduating from East Lansing High School in 1969, Denny taught Adult Education at Lansing Community College and worked in the automotive industry at German Automotive and Cook-Herriman Volkswagen, which fed his passion and love of cars. He also worked many years as a stagehand at MSU and on a farm repairing equipment and planting fields.
Denny’s life revolved around his love for hunting, fishing, reading, his cats and cars. He cherished the time spent with family and friends at his cottage on Lake Mitchell in Cadillac. He looked forward to the annual November deer camp up North with his buddies. He loved any and all cars (running or not), vintage cars, Funny Cars, race cars, car shows, NASCAR, junk cars - hot rods and go karts too. He had a heart of gold and was a dear friend to many.
While the curtains of his earthly life may have closed, Denny will always live on in our hearts.
