Devinne was a beloved daughter, sister, cousin, niece, granddaughter, aunt, godmother and friend. All who knew her remember her for her exuberance and love for life. She was kind and compassionate and fiercely loyal to her friends and family.
Devinne is especially remembered for her outstanding artistic abilities and her deep love for animals. She was someone who exuded confidence and always spoke her mind. She was brave and never backed down from a challenge. Her childhood was filled with adventures and happy memories that she shared with her dad, mom, and siblings. There were countless camping trips to Tobermory, Canada, "up north" in MI, and of course lots of swimming. Devinne was a certified scuba diver. Cherished time was also spent at the family farm in Deckerville, etc.
An excellent student, attended Okemos High School, and graduated with honors from Meridian High School, she went on to graduate from the EMT/EMS program at LCC. Her motivation for doing so was to help people. Which is what she always did: helped those around her.
We cherish all the wonderful memories we've shared together.
Devinne was a true beauty, inside and out. Her presence in our lives was like a bright shining star: so bold and full of personality and vibrancy and contrast.
We are truly blessed to have been able to know her. She was loved by many and will never be forgotten.
Devinne: We mourn your loss but celebrate the memory of the qualities that made you unique: your artistry, your adventurousness, your attitude, your passion. It is of great comfort to think we might be made of the same stuff that made you so strong.
You leave us with the gift of appreciation for each day we have together, for the highs and lows of life, for the privilege of sharing it with family who love us unconditionally and with friends who choose to share theirs with us; with love and gratitude as we bid farewell to your physical presence; and with the knowledge that your spirit will stay with us always.
