I am deeply saddened at the Loss of Dr. Warner (she hated being called Dr, but she earned it, so I liked to pester her and call her that). She was one of the very best friends anyone could ever have. When I was in High School, she was my teacher, but was so much more than that. I didn't have the normal family situation, and she was there for me on so many levels. More than anything, or anyone ever had, she BELIEVED in me. She was the driving factor behind my success in life, as a Soldier, as a mom, and as a person. She attended the baby shower of my Amanda, 26 years ago, and never a holiday or birthday passed, without a handwritten, personal note to each of my kids and to me, on those special days. (Written in that perfect penmanship, after all those years.) My second daughter had her 18th birthday, and right on time, her card came. I forgot to give it to her, and when I found it a week later, my daughter said-yay! you know my birthday is not complete without my letter from Mrs. Warner. She kept up,through the years and the miles, with me and my children, and took an active role in all their lives. She even gave my then 4 year old son a lesson, as she gave him an antique metal toy car, explaining to him how when things are built right, they last for years. She wrote to me all through Basic Training, when nobody else did, and through the next nearly 33 years, her friendship sustained me in tough times and in good times, through these letter of encouragement. She inspired me to continue with my education, regardless of my age, and largely because of her, I am so close to achieving my doctorate. She always had a kind word of encouragement, and such positive thoughts. I would always try to visit her when I went back to Michigan, and through it all, she remained a consistent, unselfish friend, who always asked about my kids, and took a genuine interest in Me, as a person. I will forever cherish my friendship with the most amazing woman I have ever, or will ever meet. She inspired me in so many ways. I can only hope to live up to her expectations. I love her with all my heart. She was clearly the one person who truly believed in me.  yup-Clearly, and unmistakingly, the Single most important person in my life....I tell my students and people I meet about her all the time. Anyone who knows me, has heard at least one story about Dr (Mrs) Warner...

Mrs. Warner taught me typing and shorthand.  She was a very dedicated teacher and when I went back to Everett as a teacher, myself, she was my mentor.  She was loved by generations of students and respected by all.  Truly a wonderful woman.  Jennell Townsend Class of 1954

I had Mrs. Warner for secretarial block class at Everett High School, graduating in 1978.  Mrs. Warner attended my high school graduation party at my parent's house in June 1978.  She taught me how to type, how to spell, how to use appropriate grammar, and especially how to be a great stenographer.  She told me to take the State of Michigan Civil Service entry exam and, as a result, I was hired into the State of Michigan in February of 1979.  I worked 32 years and recently was able to retire.  My sincere thanks to your mother, she was a very kind, intelligent woman.  My condolences to you and your family.

Mrs. Warner taught me to type and took 4 years and credit her for my typing ability. I also had the joy of talking with her when her husband was at the facility that I was a Nutritional director. God bless you all, wonderful woman

Terri Brown Rowe ('77), She was my shorthand/business teacher and was one of my favorites.  She made learning fun and I've thought of her often through the years.  What a great lady!!

Mrs. Warner was my teacher as ell as my dad's at Everett. I will never forget my dad telling me, "you want to put a smile on her face, give her some cashews!" I loved her!  Dad loved her!
