Every summer for the last several years, my mother Helen and Donna went dancing together. They had a great time. When mother had surgery this summer, Donna visited her in rehab and they would talk for hours on the phone. Last time they talked was last month. Mom tried to call her just last week and told me when the phone was disconnected. She wondered if Donna had gone to be with God. We thank God he let us share some of our time with Donna. She was a kind soul and a good friend to my mom. She will be missed but not forgotten.

Jimmy,

Your Mom was a great lady who made a real difference to so many of us growing up in Hillbrook. Playing ball in your driveway in the winter, hiding out in your basement, spending time with your family when things were quiet.......she was quick to praise when we were "good," but didn't hesitate to set us straight when we screwed up. She was a great Mom for so many of us in Hillbrook. She was also my own mother's close friend and was a great help before and after my Mom died. Best wishes to you and your family. Donna Stockmeyer will be missed.

Jim, I never met your mother, but it was very hard to lose mine. She was only 58 and died of stomach cancer. Thinking of you and Shari and your loss; prayers go out to you and all of your family.

Like my brother, Ron, I have wonderful memories of Donna and the chats we had in her warm and welcoming kitchen. We are all lucky to have known her. In deepest sympathy,

A wonderful woman who will be missed in the neighborhood. She was a second mom to so many of us. I will miss her very much. So many memories of this great person. She would bake me pies as a thank you for helping her out. I'll miss her laughter and her words of wisdom.

Spent many great moments with Donna as a teen sitting in the living room with her in the kitchen. She made sure things were OK with me after my mom passed. She was a great lady.

Donna was like my second mother growing up as a teenager. I spent almost as much time at the Stockmeyer home as I did my own. Donna was a great lady and will be missed.
