Edward “Eddie” W. Beckhorn, Jr., 58, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017. He was born February 6, 1959 to Edward and Elizabeth (Hettinger) Beckhorn in Lansing, Michigan, and graduated from Bath High School. He worked for Hobie’s Café and Pub in East Lansing. When he wasn’t working, Eddie was deeply interested in WWII, and cultivated a wealth of knowledge over many years of reading and studying, even speaking at an area school about Pearl Harbor.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Nancy (the late Jack) Cramer, Penny (the late Charlie) Simmons, Robin (Mark) Ankney, and Doris (Steven) Dunlap.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service.
