Elnora Westervelt Welch

Laingsburg, Michigan

Born March 1, 1925, passed away October 15, 2011 at the age of 86. Elnora was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Gladys Westervelt, husband Clarence; stepsons, Lawrence and Darwin Welch and sisters, Dorothy Mahoney and Mrytle Scott. Surviving are her daughter, Adele (Patrick) Szedlak of Laingsburg; son, Gordon (Renee) of Idaho; stepson, Raymond (Norma) Welch of Mt. Pleasant, Paul (Noreen) Welch of Morley and Allen Welch of Alma; brother, Calvin Westervelt and Oliver (Gladys) Westervelt of Perry; sister, Laura Welch of Lansing; 4 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, October 19, at 1:00 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River, East Lansing with the Rev. Ray Strawser officiating. Interment will follow at East Lawn Memory Gardens, Okemos. The family will receive friends and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House of Shiawassee County, 2005 E. Copas Rd, Owosso, MI 48867 in Elnora’s memory.
