Born December 20, 1921 to Clarence and Myra Shipp, passed away January 21, 2011 at the age of 89. Flora was a graduate of Lansing Eastern High School. She was married to her husband, Bruno for 68 years. Flora often worked in the office of her husband’s business B. J. Siwek Construction Company. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas. She enjoyed reading, playing Bridge and doing cross stitch. She was predeceased by her parents; grandson, Bobby Weaver; sister, Myra Lou “Sister Robert Mariam”. She is survived by her husband, Bruno; children, Richard (Sue) Siwek of Flushing, Dianne Weaver of Rockford, Dorothy Glass of Australia, Robert (Gloria) Siwek of DeWitt and Debbie (Norm) Judge of Grand Ledge; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, January 24, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 455 Alton, East Lansing at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Anthony Strouse, officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 23, from 4-7 pm with a scripture reading at 6:30 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Lansing. There also will be visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow immediately in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing.
