It was a pleasure to know Florence and Dick. I listened with great interest to some of Dick's long stories at 4-H Conservation Camp and elsewhere. Then I met Florence and I enjoyed seeing her when she worked faithfully in the Soil Testing Lab. It was always a joy to visit with her at Trinity. We had many conversations about faith and many other things over the years. We, too can say she was a blessing to us.

David,
I got the news of your mother's passing into glory to be present with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I would like to get your cell phone number so we could talk a bit. I think you know that Karen and I are living in St. Marys, GA 31558. Contact me at Swedesailin@gmail.com or cell no 517-449-5461. Good boating and fishing here.
In Christ,
Rick and Karen Lundgren

Drullinger family,
Florence was a big part of my life from Traverse City to Rockford and Holt. Family visits were and are a big part of our lives at "the farm" or where ever the Carter siblings were gathering. She will be missed and we will now hold those memories all the more precious. We are making a contribution to YMCA World Service/Chengdu YMCA in her memory.

Dear Dave and family,

It is with sadness we learned for Florence's passing. Over the years she has been a blessing to so many people.

Florence was always a blessing to us. We felt privileged whenever when we would go to see here. Her no-nonsense advise and love always lifted us up. We dearly missed our times with her and regretted that our move to Fruitport meant that we no longer could pop in and see her.

She was a wonderful lady and we felt privileged whenever we had the opportunity to visit with her. She was a wonderful unassuming woman who blessed everyone she came in contact with.

Rick, Dave & Family:

My prayers are with you all during your time of loss. Your mom was a wonderful woman, who lived an exemplary life. She was always so nice to us kids, and we really enjoyed being with both your mom and dad. You were truly blessed to have them as parents.
