Fred was a man of wizdom, kindness and heart. His spirit was always high, even when life pulled him low, his pride was always intact. His care was true and free kind of like his life. He was my adviser, teacher, confidont and friend and Father, you were always there even when I wasnt.
I love you Fred and will miss you always!! Steven Brent Spencer

May Steven and your family find comfort "that you have finally been set truly free" and to be remembered with smiles and laughter will keep your true friends smiling in the years to come. RIP

Fred was always the guy with a quick smile and time to talk a minute to an old friend. May you rest in peace and maybe as you often said "see you 'round".

" There isn't enough space to describe what a great friend that Fred was". We had so many good times and adventures together and with all of our friends. You will never be forgotten and I wish you PEACE, my friend!!!

After growing up together as 'Shep Boys' Fred and I shared a few houses around E. Lansing for a number of years, there were many friends, laughs and stories. He gave me the nickname of 'Buckwheat' and people called him 'The Freeze' ...because he was cool. We were brothers, I will miss him, but not forget him.

Fred, I always felt you got a 'bad beat' over the last few years, and now for this to happen, it really tears my heart out. May you Rest in Peace Brother.

Rest in peace Fred,
Your life was cut too short as you had so much more to do; I know you're in a better place and for sure no pain! I will always have the memories of going to Aunt Mildred's and you singing your crazy songs. When most others would of given up - you kept fighting, always a positive attitude. Your smiles and love for life will live on in Steven and your grandchildren. Always loved - Never forgotten.
