Donna and family:

George was not only a competent scientist and efficient manager of the public health laboratory, he was also a "nice guy". It was my privelege to serve on several APHL committees with him and benefit from his knowlege. I always considered him to be a good friend and a knowlegable colleague. His guidance was always appreciated and accepted. I have missed him since both our retirements.
