Haslett, MI
Age 70, died peacefully at home with his wife, step daughter and granddaughter at his
side on January 16, 2011 from cancer. Glen was a true outdoorsman. He loved being in
the woods, at the river or outside anywhere taking in the countryside around him. His
love of hunting, and especially fishing, was a true passion of his. He took pride in
teaching the sport to all eight of his grandchildren when they joined him on his weekend
fishing expeditions at the river. Two of Glen’s nine great grandchildren were blessed to
have been taught by the master himself. In his youth, Glen raced stock cars at Spartan
Speedway with his younger brother. Years later, the two brothers became business
partners in the construction industry and ran a successful drywall company for 28 years,
B and G Drywall. Glen is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Matilda
Colosky, one brother and one sister. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Georganna,
four brothers, three sisters, two sons, one daughter, two step-daughters, eight
grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
And see the rivers how they run
Through wood and mead, in shade and sun,
Sometimes swift, sometimes slow,
Wave succeeding wave, they go
A various journey to the deep.
Like human life to endless sleep.
