Gloria Blatt, aged 87, passed away Wednesday, August 15th 2012 at her home in East Lansing, Michigan. Born October 21st 1924 in Cincinnati, Ohio, of Cicelia Wittenbaum Freeman and Stanley Freeman, she spent her childhood in
Cincinnati and New York City before attending the University of Cincinnati and later at Michigan State University. Gloria taught English at Snohomish High School near Seattle and, for 25 years, at Oakland University outside Detroit. She was a seasoned traveler, living at times in the UK, Switzerland and Belgium. Her generosity and perennially sunny outlook will remain a constant inspiration for all who knew her.
She is survived by her children Mike and Annie, and by grandchildren Katy, Christopher, Erica, Forrest and Justin.
Family and friends are invited to remember her at her home, from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, August 21st.
