Age 47, passed away March 9, peacefully surrounded by friends and family. Greg was born June 11, 1965. He graduated from Troy High School and Eastern Michigan University. His aviation career spanned 17 years starting with TWA and concluding with Johnson Controls, Inc. He loved sports, especially his children's, the University of Michigan, fixing just about anything, and was happiest when helping other people. His travels across the globe, combined with his natural ability to form lasting friendships, leaves so many people with memories, stories, and laughter. Greg will never know how many lives he's touched. This past year, Greg's fight, determination and positive spirit as he battled cancer has been an inspiration for all of us to live for today and love with all your might. Greg is survived by his sons Garrett, Horacio and daughter Whitney, parents Diego & Suzanne (Hind), brother Matt (Christine), sister Jennifer Heim (Mike), sister Suzanne Livesey (Steve), and his beloved Debbie. He also leaves behind 12 nieces and nephews: Marissa, Brooke, Alyssa, Gabrielle & Andrew; Justin, Jacque & Nick; Natalie, Conner, Chloe & Bryce and numerous aunts and uncles. The family will receive friends Friday, March 15, from 1pm – 9pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 1730 E. Grand River, East Lansing, MI. Funeral Services will be held Saturday March 16, 12:00 p.m. at Parker Memorial Baptist Church, 1902 E. Cavanaugh, Lansing, MI, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Greg flew cancer patients free of charge to their treatments before he was diagnosed and talked of doing it again once he recovered and was able to fly again.
