

Harold Lyle Bartlett, Jr. of Charlotte, passed away June 7, 2015 at the age of 79. Harold was born February 21, 1936 in DeWitt Township, MI to Harold Lyle and Helen(Lowery) Bartlett, Sr. He was employed at Fisher Body (General Motors), was Potterville Police Chief, volunteer fireman, part-time school bus driver and a Dean Transportation bus driver. He loved golfing, fishing, hunting, antique cars and animals. He also drove race cars in his younger years. He enjoyed country music, was a great yodeler and he and his sister could dance the jitterbug at many weddings.
He is predeceased by his parents; brother David “Butch” Bartlett and sister-in-law Edna Bartlett. Surviving is his wife Judith, daughters, Renee Bartlett, LeeAnn (Martin) Owen and Annamarie Tripp of CA; son Gregory Bartlett; four grandchildren, Gretchen Bartlett, Laura (John) Ferguson, Christopher Bartlett and Stephanie Bartlett; two great-grandchildren, Faith Ferguson and Jayden Ferguson and baby Ferguson due in August; sister Joyce (Clint) Geiger; numerous nieces and nephews, friend and ex-wife Bonnie Powell and faithful friends, Emmy and Bandit.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 11, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 East Grand River Avenue, East Lansing, with Ret. Pastor Tom Van Dyke officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Rose Cemetery. Refreshments will follow the service at Lakeside Chapel in Bath.
