

Inez Miriam Snyder, born on January 23, 1932, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 5th, 2024. She was born in Indianapolis, IN to Roy and Mary Ruth Wertz.
After graduating from Mt. Auburn High School, Inez married Jack Snyder on August 5th, 1951, at Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, Illinois. Over the years, she embraced various roles in retail and real estate after raising her three daughters. Inez established her own floral business, spreading beauty from her home.
A devout Christian, Inez was an active member of numerous Christian Women's organizations and bible studies. Her green thumb was legendary among neighbors who enjoyed the fruit of her gardening passion throughout the seasons.
An avid sports enthusiast, Inez cheered passionately for her home teams, particularly the Colts, Pacers, and various universities. Inez was the glue that bound her family together, always the first to volunteer for hosting and feeding everyone at family events. Affectionately known as Nana, she held a special place in the hearts of her grandchildren, their friends, and great-grandchildren.
Inez is survived by her three daughters, Beth Rogers, Kimberly Rogers (Paul), and Jane Hurd (Robert), along with grandchildren Lance Rogers (Katie), Alexander Rogers, Jeffrey Rogers (Christa), Gabrielle Wise (Christopher), Samantha Hurd, and great-grandchildren Breah, Walter, Emerson, Henry, Nathan Rogers, Everly, Quinn Rogers, and Piper Wise.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Snyder, Michael Rogers, Bill Wertz, Jacqueline Wertz Klopstad, and Jerry Wertz.
A visitation to celebrate Inez's life will be held on Thursday, January 11th, 2024, at Gorsline-Runciman's East Lansing Chapel at 1730 E. Grand River Ave, beginning at 10 am, followed by a memorial service at 11 am.
