She was born in Lansing on February 24, 1940 to Frank and Dolores (Drouin) Wright.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Wayne State University and her Master of Science Degree from Michigan State University.
Her career spanned more than 50 years with Michigan State University in various teaching and administrative positions. She also held the position of Secretary of Academic Governance. Jackie spent many summers in Washington, D.C. for the Veterans Administration, advising and placing prospective students in institutions for nursing education.
Jackie loved her dogs and cared for many throughout the years. She was very spiritual and devoted to her Catholic faith.
Friends will be received on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 5:00 PM, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Lansing Chapel, 900 E Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI 48912. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM, with a one-hour prior visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at St. Thomas Aquinas, 955 Alton Rd., East Lansing, MI 48823. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 2600 E Mt Hope Ave., Lansing, MI 48910.
