Was sad to hear about Jamie. Saw him for the first time in 50 years at our 50th HS reunion. We had a great rivalry after high school with him at Central and me at Western. Bob Grimes

Jamie was a friend, college roommate and fraternity brother. He always looked on the positive side of every moment. While we seldom had contact after college it was alway like we had just been together again. We will all miss his enthusiastic personality.

Lucinda and family.
Just a note to say we were sorry to hear about Jamie. I grew up playing ball in the back yard of the Gent home in Bangor with Charlie, Pete and Jamie. Also, kept in touch when he was in Haslett and I was coaching basketball in Portland. He was a good athlete and family guy as I could tell from our conversations when we crossed paths. On more than one occasion I have commented "ya I know Jamie he was from BANGOR." Again sorry for your loss. Don and LeWain Crandall Bangor, Portland, Bonita Springs, Fl

We dearly appreciate Jamie's help and patience throughout the years we knew him as Athletic Director. He guided and supported us during the addition of soccer to Haslett High School Athletic program.
Our son,Eric, thoroughly enjoyed working as his aid in the athletic office.
Mike enjoyed playing slow pitch ball with Jamie years earlier when they were sponsored by the old Haslett Pharmacy.
He was one very nice man.

Jamie had a very positive impact on my three children, Malinda, Laura, and Erik. He was a special friend to my son, Erik, during a sad time in his life. Jamie was always there for him. Haslett has lost a really fine gentleman who spent his time make Haslett Public Schools and the community a better place. Thoughts and prayers to the family.
