James Lewis Reutter

James Lewis Reutter, born in Lansing, Michigan to Lewis and Elsie Reutter on October 19, 1933. He passed away on April 3, 2022 in the loving arms of his Lord.

He was preceded in passing by his wife Ann, brother Robert, sisters Harriet and Betty. He is survived by his children Cynthia (Ronald) Bewersdorff, Julie (Joseph) O'Neill, Robert (Jane) Reutter; Grandchildren Adam (Kristy) Bewersdorff, Charlotte (Aaron) Bewersdorff, Anna McIntire, Jennifer (Bachir) Saoud, James (Lacey) O'Neill, Emma (Steven) LaCosse, Hannah Reutter, and Austin Reutter; and sister-in-law Linda Conklin; he was also great grampa to 11 beautiful great grandchildren.

He was a much admired community leader and respected business man. He was apart of many community board and gave his professional time and talents to them diligently. His business, Lansing Ice & Fuel was a large part of his life. It was established in 1906 by his Grandfather and is now a 6 generation company.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Greater Lansing Food Bank or American Red Cross.

A visitation for James will be held Friday, April 8, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Martin Luther Chapel, 444 Abbot Rd, East Lansing, MI 48823, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 PM.
