Janet Therese Harook

Janet T. Harook, 87, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026. Born Janet Therese Azzi, on March 6, 1939, she was raised in Mohawk, MI, graduated from Calumet High School before heading to St. Lawrence School of Training/Nursing in Lansing MI. Early on she met Gary E. Warriner and they raised four children together. Janet began working at the Knapp Department store in downtown Lansing as an accounting clerk and worked there until the business closed. She then worked for The Country Market grocery store in East Lansing until retiring.

Janet is survived by her children: Craig (Kim) Warriner; Scott (Karen) Warriner; Keith (Kathy) Warriner. 12 grandchildren: Jason (Erin) Warriner; Matthew (Olivia Whitley) Warriner; Sarah (Angelo Lopez) Warriner; Bryanna (Jake) Manning; Kristen (Austin) Goble; Jacob (Abby) Warriner; Max Goe; Michael Goe; Elizabeth (Ben) Koval; Nathan (Alise) Warriner; Nicholas (Lydia) Warriner; Eric Warriner. 3 stepchildren: Cody (Kylee) Matthews; Dillion (Micaela) Mathews; Alisha DeJagher. 17 great grandchildren: Avery Warriner; Emmi Warriner; Sadie Warriner; Vicenzo Lopez; Gabriel Lopez; Phoenix Manning; Louise Manning; Mylas Manning; Ozzie Manning; Teddy Manning; River Goble; Lennie Goble; Marley Goble; Ella Koval; Lilly Koval; Natalie Warriner; Austin Warriner. 7 step great grandchildren: Ceirra DeJagher; Dayton DeJagher; Avayvianna DeJagher; Briella DeJager; Khai'lani DeJagher; Oliver Matthews; Bailey Matthews.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Joyce Azzi; brother Paul Azzi; daughter Joy A. Warriner Goe; husband Ernest E. Julian; husband John M. Harook. A special thank you to Donald R. Phillips (Mason, MI), Janet's dear twilight partner. We appreciate the love and care you gave her.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 12 at 1:30pm. at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow Hwy, Lansing MI 48917. Visitation will occur for one hour, 12:30pm to 1:30pm at St. Gerard Church before the Mass.
