My grandmother just informed me of his death. I'm deeply saddened. He was my doctor as a little girl. I will miss him. I wish I had the chance to see him one last time...my condolences

I will miss him very much. I owe John Morlock my life many times over and I will never forget that. He was a wonderful person to know and a fantastic physician. I will never forget him and my thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and fellow patients.

Last time I saw John was in Lansing 1972 before I left for extensive humanitarian mission work overseas. We grew up together as kids in the same Lakeview neighborhood in Howell. He was always a good caring "older brother" friend, and also intense (in a good way) in everything he did--even back then! I'm so happy to hear of his family and all the people he touched in his life. I celebrate his life with you. Michelle and family, I am so sorry to hear about John. I know you are all devastated. I have many great and touching memories of him, and some laughable ones too. Back in the day when "everybody in healthcare" smoked, he used to raise such a ruckus about the cloud of smoke in our break room. Thankfully, many of us listened to him and did successfully quit. He championed for healthy lungs, that's for sure. Know that I am thinking of you at this sad time.

So young, so vibrant, so dedicated, so TRAGIC.  My heartfelt sympathy and empathy go out to the Morlock family.  I lost my 66 year old wife of 44 years to ALS last October and John was there for me after her passing.  I have been teasing John about being the "old man" since he pointed out, some years back, that he was three months my senior.  I was shocked and devastated to hear of his passing.  John was the greatest and will be sorely missed.  G-d bless the Morlock family.  His untimely passing will be hard, but cherish his memory always.  I know that I will.  Rest in Peace, John.  You will be missed and remembered.

I will forever be grateful to Dr. Morlock for the confidence and patience he instilled in me.  He surgically inserted a transtrachael catheter so I would have the full benefit of oxygen into my lungs.  If I walked in his office feeling punky, I would always walk out feeling like I had been given a new lease on life.  He actually listened to his patients and knew us, not only by name, but by our lives and our condition.  He was blessed with a staff that thought he walked on water and I know that his joy and argyle vests will remain with me for the rest of my life. I was told of Dr. Morlock's passing yesterday by my cardiologist.  I had only been under his care for about six weeks.  When I came to him, I was in physical danger.  He diagnosed me immediately, prescribed antibiotics, and I'm slowly on the road to recovery.  Without his guidance I might not be here today.  My prayers are with his wife and family.  Your loss is felt throughout this community, state, and beyond.

I was very sadened to hear of the loss of Dr. Morlock.  He had been my doctor for the last 2 years.  He was a very caring and compassionate dr.  He was very dedicated to his profession and the medical world has lost a very fine dr. May you rest in peace Dr. Morlock.

I first met Dr. Morlock when I was in the hospital in 2008.  Such a sweet, gentle man and smart Doctor!  He went above and beyond and made me feel much better about my health situation.  Always with a smile and kind word for everyone and he will be missed.  Thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.

Dr Morlock was a brilliant clinician and a warm and caring person.  The world will be a lesser place without him.

Dr. Morlock has been the doctor in my family for three generations. He helped save my grandmother from a devistating lung disease and has saved my mother many, many, many times and since 2008 has been my doctor. If it wasn't for Dr. Morlock my children wouldn't have a mother or grandmother and I wouldn't of had the time with my grandmother that I did. His bedside manner was the best and he never gave up on my family. He was a comfort and it was our honor to know him and have him not only as a great doctor but friend as well. He will be missed soarly- love and light John love and light.

It was with great sadness that I heard of John's passing.  I have many wonderful memories of John coming to our house as both our paperboy and my brother's friend.  In particular, the trip he took with us to Tennessee one summer while he was in high school,  Can still remember the look on his face when he ate a hot pepper on a dare.  Mostly though I remember his wonderful smile.  My thoughts are with his family.  He will be greatly missed.

I have never met Dr. Morlock in person but I have heard stories about him from my family.  I took care of President Reagan for 4 years and many other members of families known worldwide.  I've had the pleasure of working with some of the best doctors on earth.  I consider Dr. Morlock one of them.  My family with miss him deeply. May his family feel comfort and love in his spirit surrounding them.

A  wonderful physician I have known since 1982, beginning at Lansing General Hospital.   As my pulmonary physician he always took time to  visit and understand all my concerns as a patient.   I will miss him dearly.

Dr. Morlock took care of my Dad for YEARS.  My Father loved Dr. Morlock not only for the care he gave for Dad's lung condition but for keeping Dad's spirits up telling jokes to him.  He had a great way with people.  My Dad passed away on 3/5/12 and I know he would have been very sad to hear about your loss as well as I and my Mother are. Dr. Morlock was a wonderful man. He was my father's physician for almost ten years. He truly cared, I think my dad and he talked about fishing and life in general more than they did my father's lung health. He truly and genuinely cared about his patients. He will be greatly missed.

My deepest sympathy to your family. Dr. Morlock has been a Dr. for someone in my family for nearly 25 years. I can't tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I just had my dad in last month and he told us how excited he was about the changes in his practice and that it would give him more time with his family. He always spoke of his family whenever we talked. My dad had been very ill when I asked his family Dr. to send him to see Dr. Morlock. My dad is a grumpy old codger who instantly hit it off with the "Doc" as dad called him. I had to pry him from the office everytime the two of them started talking. They both had the gift of gab. Dr.Morlock saved my husband's life more than once!  We have never seen a doctor more dedicated to his profession and to his patients.  His passing is truly a sad day for many!  God speed Dr.Morlock!  And one day we will be dancing to reggae in heaven!
