Jonathon was a proud graduate of Holt High School. He worked for Peckham Industries and served as a greeter at Bob’s Evans in Lansing for 10 years, where he touched the lives of many people with his warm and welcoming nature. At heart, Johnathon was a romantic, and his love for life and for others was evident. He will be deeply missed by all.
He is survived by his parents, John (Tammie) Gingas and Betty (John Caudell) Gingas; his sister, Janell (Derek) DeYoung; uncle, Bill (Patsy Richardson) Gingas; step-brother, Adam Plumb; step-sister, Nicole (Joe) Cardwell; and nieces, Lylianah & Danielle Cardwell.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff at Sparrow Hospital for the care they provided over the course of Jonathon's life, with a special acknowledgment to Dr. Steve Guertin for his unwavering care, concern, and professional expertise. Jonathon was a true medical warrior, displaying strength and spirit through all adversity.
A funeral service for Jonathon will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM, with a one-hour prior visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes East Chapel, 1730 E Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI 48823. Following the service, Jonathon will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery, 213 N Jefferson St., Mason, MI 48854.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Adam Plumb, Joe Cardwell, Richard Fairchild, John Gingas, Bill Gingas, and Robert Warnke.
