I just found out that the world lost Jordan.  My own heart is sunken right now, but as I grieve I know his family's pain and loss is far more daunting.  
Jordan was the type of person that the world needs more of, and we will all be the worse off for not having him part of it.  
I know from my times with him, that he absolutely loved his family, and that you were his light and most shining point of pride.  I had great respect for Jordan.  He was intelligent, incredibly astute, uniquely skilled in his professional capacities, kind, generous and passionate.  He was also, a true conservationist, who felt the responsibility of giving back to the nature that gave to him.  He offered and gave his assistance on numerous conservation issues, gave his highly honed and rare skill set to help in unique ways, and was always so thoughtful, strategic, and on point with those important matters.  I've wished for so many more people like him, so it hurts to know there is one less now.  
As his family finds a way to carry on without all of the wonderful things Jordan provided, know you are not alone in grieving the loss.  I thank you for raising and sharing a truly exemplary human with the world.  I hope that the pride you should all have for Jordan can dull and partially replace your pain.  His time was far too short, but he did not waste it.

I will miss you, my friend. Your impact on my life and everyone who knew you will be felt for the rest of our days.  I loved sharing with you stories, our devotion for all things MSU, and, lastly, our journeys through life.   You always had a smile and a "how's it going?" whenever we saw each other. Thank you for the years of friendship and mentorship. Your days with us may have been too few, but we are lucky to have had too few than none at all.

I had the privilege of working with Jordan over the past several years, primarily related to the silent auction and fundraising for Children's Miracle Network. He was so passionate about helping raise funds for this great cause and was emotionally invested in the children that came to help with the fundraising. May Jordan's passion and legacy continue at the Michigan Credit Union League and within the credit union industry. Jordan will be sorely missed among his colleagues and the credit unions he served.

Jordan will be dearly missed by an industry that he served so well.  Jordan was the kind of man that would see you struggling in an awkward conversation and throw you a line.  He was always willing to help out someone.  Jordan could take the largest gathering and make it feel like an intimate group of friends.  
I remember when we discovered that Jordan’s parents were neighbors.  Our ongoing joke was “don’t make me tell your mother, Jordan” and Jordan would always respond “she already knows Pat”. 
Jordans time in the credit union movement and on this earth was far too short, but in that short time he touched a lot of lives.  Jordan your legacy will live.  Jill, Greg and family you are in our continued prayers.

Reading the Jordan's obituary and seeing his Aunt Jackie's name reminds me of the last humorous story's that Jordan shared with me.  He told me of how he had asked his mother to attend a political fundraiser in the area of where his mother lived.  His mother asked his aunt Jackie to go with her.  There must of been a guest book to sign as they entered.  Jordan laughed as he continued his story, his Aunt Jackie's name was DeVos, and people were seeing the DeVos name thinking "the DeVos" family of Grand Rapids was on site.  Jordan continued on with his laughter and I could totally identify with him on how people would act differently thinking a key person was in attendance, and yet it was "his" aunt Jackie there, being of no relation to "the DeVos" family. 
My heart aches for your families.  I hope that Jordan did know how many of the people in the credit union world loved his stories, his knowledge and his friendship.   Connie Toensing, Chippewa County CU, Sault Ste Marie, MI

Jordan was both a dear friend and colleague  to both Jewel and I. We shared many great times while performing lobbying duties for the MCUL. Jordan was so knowledgeable about politics and the effective ways to present credit union issues to elected officials. He was a master at his craft  and made anyone listening to him develop into a much better credit union advocate.
We will miss him and his family will be in our prayers as they go on living without him.
