Joseph Matthew McCarthy

Haslett, MI formerly of Madison Heights

Passed away September 1, 2016 at the age of 54. Joseph was born May 11, 1962 to Lennon F. and Patricia (Schlink) McCarthy in Detroit, MI. He attended Central Michigan University and Lansing Community College studying computer science. He enjoyed fishing and was a fan of MSU and Detroit sports. Joseph was a member of the Haslett Community Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Fred Peabody.

Surviving is his wife, Anne; daughter, Lauren McCarthy; son, Eric McCarthy; brother John (Emily) McCarthy and sister, Linda Oleszczak; niece, Erin Oleszczak and nephews, Matthew McCarthy, Zachary Peabody and Joseph Oleszczak.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2016, 2:00 p.m., Haslett Community Church, 1427 Haslett Road, Haslett with Rev. Kurt Kirchhoff officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
