Judith Ann Wagoner (Judy), 80, of Okemos, Michigan passed away on May 16, 2019. She went to meet her Shepherd at her home with her family by her side. Judy was born October 11, 1938 in New Palestine, Illinois. Her parents were Ruth & Elmo Borchelt. She was an only child.
Judy met the love of her life, Wayne Wagoner in Carbondale, Illinois. They married May 2, 1959.
She and her husband traveled to Brazil, England, Normandy, Sebring Florida, and Paradise Michigan. They also enjoyed white water rafting on the Snake River. Judy enjoyed crafting, collecting angel figurines, and the Blueberry Festival in Paradise Michigan. Her many angels that she collected through the years were sometimes passed on to others so that they too could enjoy the symbolism of peace and joy.
Judy is survived by her children, Lisa Lee (Marcus), Jeff Wagoner (Lori), and Cindy Hale; grandchildren, Jacob Lee (Kelly), Nathan Lee-Ammons (Alex), Faith Lee, Amanda Wagoner and Justin Wagoner; and great grandchild, Carson Wayne Lee. Judy is predeceased by her husband, Wayne Wagoner; parents, Ruth Watson & Elmo Borchelt; step-father, Tom Watson; sister-in-law, Mary Beth Smith; brother-in-law, Gaylord Smith; and nephew, Eric Smith. She also had 5 miniature schnauzers that she adored.
The memorial service for Judy will be held on May 24th at the Okemos Community Church. Visitation will be at 10:00 am with the service at 11:00 am. Interment at East Lawn Cemetery will be planned for 1:30 pm.
Judy would like to give special thanks to Mary Ellen & Steve Ely as well as Kathleen, John, and J.W. whom she considered family as they spent many spectacular moments together. Also thanks to Barb Scott, the Bannons, Scarlett, Grace Hospice, the Barnhardts, Gary Pollitz and so many others for the kindness they shared during her final days.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Grace Hospice of Lansing (2205 Jolly Rd., Okemos, MI 48864) or the Williamston Area Senior Center (201 School St. Williamston, MI 48895) in her name.
