June "Junebug" Messner

Junebug was a graduate of Eastern High School and went on to devote 58 years to Michigan State University, retiring at the age of 94. She loved working with her Spartan family and checking in with them on Facebook after retirement. June was an avid sports fan! She supported her Spartans, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a faithful member of All Saints Episcopal Church in East Lansing, Michigan.

Junebug is predeceased by her parents; Ralph Hirschman and Grace (Wilcoxen) Hirschman; her husband of 65 years, Robert Messner, and cousin, Eleanor Harbaugh.

Surviving to cherish her memories are sons; Jon (Lisa) Messner, Thomas Messner; grandchildren, Amy (Brian) Grew, Kim (Chad) Kwiatkowski; great-grandchildren, Grace Grew, Annie Grew, Rob Grew, Jackson

Kwiatkowski and Aubrie Kwiatkowski.

Visitation will take place on November 2, 2021 from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Lansing. Graveside Service will be on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 12:00 noon at Maple

Grove Cemetery, Mason, Michigan.
