It was sad to hear about Mrs. Weyers since I was one of her students (1986-1987) at Kinawa Middle School back when she was part of the BLOC program. She was always very pleasant and a wonderful math teacher. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Dear Howard, Teah, & Jack,
I am so sorry to hear of Kay's passing. She was an amazing mentor teacher & friend to me. You need to know many of her math units are still in use today! I was fortunate enough to inherit many of her 7th grade files. I loved going out on Fridays after school with her & the BW club. (I'll tell you what BW stands for at the visitation.) Kay was always so kind, calm & patient as a middle school teacher. No one ever had a negative thing to say about her. She had a wonderful sense of humor and influenced all of her colleagues to see the best in others. Thank you for continuing to support the Okemos Schools with your generous donations since her retirement. Her legacy lives on! I'll never forget the delicious lasagna she brought over the day we moved into our house in Okemos. It was the little things she did that touched those around her. I pray you find comfort in knowing she was loved by her Kinawa family.
Yours truly,

Jeff Foote
