Kenneth Bruce Alfredson, age 70, died April 14, 2015. He was born February 27, 1945, in Lansing, MI, to Bernard and Pearline (Haslip) Alfredson. Kenneth graduated from East Lansing High School in 1963. He then honorably served in the U.S. Navy Reserves from 1963-65 in Kodiak, Alaska, and experienced the devastating Good Friday earthquake of 1964. Upon his return home, Kenneth attended MSU and achieved a Bachelor’s Degree. He retired from Riders Hobby Shop. Kenneth was a semi-professional magician; owner/operator of the Magi-Fects Shop; and was inducted into the Michigan Magic Day Hall of Fame in 2012. His other interests included old time radios, and collecting and printing military miniatures. He was a member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Miriam (2006); sister, Caroline; brother, James (2015).
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015, at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 6500 Amwood Drive, Lansing, MI.
